The Lost Art of Letter writing
Hi Everyone,
Now I am sitting at Starbucks again and are really enjoying the sun the people and life. There are nothing better than being able to enjoy and love what you do!! I am truly blessed to be able to do what I do and I look up to those who showed me the way to where I am today. My mentors are truly great!! If it were`nt for them I would never have enjoyed the fruits of personal development and life!!
I wanted to talk about something that are really something that I will start to do a lot more!!
People need to connect more in this electronical word. And this lost art will truly give the ones that receive it a great feeling of someone who care enough about them to write them a letter.
Hand written letters are long gone especially for my generation people from 18-35.
When was the last time you received a handwritten letter or note??

Because it is so uncommon, letter writing has become more personal and meaningful.
Here are some more benefits of doing it:
Relax. Sitting down with a fresh sheet of paper and a pen lets you mentally slow down and unplug from your wired and wireless day.
Tactile pleasure. Stationary that reflects your personality or mood and a nice pen will make theexperience more enjoyable.
Reflect and record your life. As George Bernard Shaw once said, "An unexamined life is one not worth living." Letter writing lets you reflect on your life and goals. Letters can also be memoirs to pass down to your children and grand children.
Be real. Skip the niceties and share your thoughts, experiences and insights. Handwritten letters are the place for deeper thoughts and expression.
Take pleasure in sharing. Even if your letters go unanswered, you`ve probably brightened someone`s day!!
Lets start doing it a little!!
It will really brighten up the day for the person who receive it.
Enjoy your weekend and live, love and laugh together with family, friends and business contacts and enjoy this summer to the fullest!!!
It will only be one summer in 2010! Take action!

Decoding some non verbal clues
Hi Everyone,
Today is yet another perfect day with a lot of fun to come. I am going to hang out with some of Manitobas most positive people today from 2-9 and enjoy the event we are going to put together.
I truly love being around all the great people I got to know.
I am so thankful for being in the business I am in and very excited about my future and what it will become!!
Today I thought I would share something I read earlier this week which is a very powerful tool!!
Today I will be talking a little about some of the non verbal clues to look for to be able to read a person you meet very fast.
Imagine a business deal that are hanging on your choice of which side of the person you sit down?
To be able to interpret non verbal clues and use the information towards your businesses or personal life advantages. This can give you a huge advantage compared to your competitors in business and help you build a little better connection with people around you.
You have to read this great book by Kevin Hogan : The Secret Language of Business - How to read anyone in three seconds or less.
Say you are trying to close a big deal. You take a look at your counterparts desk the right side is neat with square piles and the left side is kind of a mess. Most likely that person is right handed. Logic is found to be right and emotion to the left.
So how can we use this information? "If your counterpart is right handed, you will be received better and have a far greater likelihood of making the deal or sale if you are seated to that persons right" Hogan says. "When right handed people are looking to the right, they activate more of the left brain, predictive of feeling more at ease and comfortable. When right handed people look to the left, they engage the right side of the brain, home to the autobiographical and emotionally charged memories.. feelings like anxiety, fear and nervousness."
More insights from Hogan:
Mirrors of the soul. "Watch pupil dilation," he says. "Pupils contract noticeably when you are angry, unhappy or perceiving something as negative or suspicious. They dilate noticeably when you are excited, happy or your brain is involved in problem solving activity." If you are trying to close a sale or simply are talking to someone and asking them something and you notice constricted pupils, you are likely to get a no, Hogan says.
Listen eye to eye. "Maintain eye contact with the person who is speaking a 100% of the time," he says. "If you are doing the the speaking, keep eye contact 50 percent of the time, but when you break eye contact, don`t look from side to side, at other people or things, or up. But look down, defocus and then bring you eyes back up to the other person," Hogan says. But be prepared for a reaction. "It can be disarming because no one ever does it and it conveys respect and liking."
Don`t invade personal space. Always leave four feet between you and the person you`re speaking to, and let that person to you. Leave your arms down at your sides to invite people into your space. "If people get closer, chances are they are comfortable with you," Hogan says. And guess what the Sale or the relationship looks great.
Smiles indicate honesty. Unless you are a pathological liar, it is difficult to fake a smile when you are being deceptive. Common misperceptions. The average person is only right about nonverbal communication 50 percent of the time, says Hogan.
Some common miscalculations include:
Arms Crossed, which does`nt always mean defenciveness, and could just mean the person is cold and trying to stay warm.
Nervousness, which does`nt always mean the person is lying; nervous can also mean just nervous.
Eye Contact, which does`nt mean someone is telling the truth; many deceptive people are capable of great eye contact.
What not to do:
Don`t touch your face. Nothing good can come of touching your face, Hogan says. Never point. And when you are nervous, keep your hands tighter to your body.
So that was a little education!! Now it is time for action and start using what we have learn from Hogan!
Have a wonderful week and remember to give Love to people in and way or form possible.

How to not let critics rule your decisions and life
Hi everyone,
I am right now sitting in the beautiful Manitoba sun and enjoying every second of it. Today has been yet another awesome day in my life with a lot of interesting happenings and great actions taken towards my goals.
I am fired up and alive and ready to take on anything that is going to come my way. I am ready for everything that could happen positive or "negative"(Well usually negative things and circumstances can be turned into great things).
Today I wanted to share a little about how you might be influenced by other people in your life or throughout your day.
Every day all have something happening to them that either impact them positively or negative. A little example would be for me today. Someone gave me the finger when they cut me off in the traffic. I could let that impact my whole day and be bummed out and angry about it telling all my friends and family what an asshole he were and that he should start using his blinkers and start behaving like a human not a idiot.

OR
As I did. Just welcomed him in on the road and in my mind wished him a wonderful day and that he hopefully will have someone impact his day so he could be happier about the day.

For all I know this person could might have had a horrible day and that he almost hit me were the thing that topped his day off and really pissed him off.
See all you should do in instances like that is to just let it happen and don get emotionally attached to the incident. You should just let him in as I did and wish him a great day in your head.
If you just let small things like that stop impacting your day negatively you are well on your way to be a really happy and love able person. I used to get extremely pissed off and wanted to tell everyone I met that day about this crazy moron that did this to me only to make my friends, co-workers and others day more negative.
Lets say that your spouse is coming home from a horrible day at work in her eyes. She is talking about how crappy her day is and how her boss really is a true asshole that never care about other than himself.
As you have learned today is that you have two ways to react to anything that happens. Either Positive or negative. It is truly your choice.
Now you can just tell your closest friends,co-workers,family and business partners about it.
Tell them that they have a choice of being pissed off or just let it go by and see the positive in every situation.

Positive and negative are directions. Which direction do you choose?

It is all about understanding where you want to go in life and what I think about it is that "Just knowing that I can choose to be positive is worth more that a billion dollars" John Thore Stub Sneisen. I seriously think this because what you think you will become so start making the positive out of all the "negative" things that happens!!
Go for greatness and happiness in your life not misery and sadness.
Lets make the world just a little better by helping our selfs start thinking positive and give of our positiveness to everyone we cross paths with every day in our life.
When it comes to critics in your life and how they can affect you it is again all about you and your choices about the critic you receive from others. Are you going to let that stop you from going where you are going or not.
When you receive critic it is important to ask yourself this question first. "Is this positive "feedback or is it someone that are afraid of loosing me when I take a step towards my goals and dreams?"
I have had lots of bad critics in my life. Telling me off, saying that this is illegal, that I should quit it before the cops come, that I should get a job instead, that I am an idiot to do this.
Please don`t let it affect you. If lots of people are saying this to you. Make sure that you know what you are doing is legal:) People could be right some few times too, but mostly it is about fear of loss.
I suggest that you just start looking for people that are positive, get to know the, become friends with them and hang out and do stuff with them. It is the easiest way to stay positive:)
I wish you all a fabulous day,
